Pink Patrol: Empowering Women's Safety in Kerala
The Kerala Police has pioneered significant measures to bolster the safety of women and children across the state. Central to this effort is the "Pink Patrol," a dedicated force that actively monitors public spaces, educational institutions, and colleges to deter harassment and ensure a secure environment.
Beyond proactive patrolling, the department has established specialized women's help desks and exclusive women-only police stations. These initiatives are designed to create a supportive, non-intimidating atmosphere, ensuring that victims of gender-based violence feel empowered and comfortable when seeking timely justice and protection.
