Sikkim has taken a major stride toward dignified sanitation by signing a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Toyota Kirloskar Motor. This strategic partnership focuses on procuring advanced, mechanized sewage and waste collection equipment to completely eliminate the practice of manual scavenging across the state.
By integrating modern technology into its waste management infrastructure, Sikkim is prioritizing the health, safety, and dignity of its sanitation workforce. This initiative not only reflects the state's commitment to technological advancement but also aligns with national efforts to modernize sanitation practices and ensure a cleaner, safer environment for all citizens.
