Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a ₹5,000 crore bamboo-based ethanol plant in Numaligarh, Assam, aimed at boosting biofuel production.
The facility will enhance ethanol output, promote bamboo cultivation, generate employment, and reduce dependence on fossil fuels.
Authorities say the plant supports environmental sustainability and aligns with India’s renewable energy and green development initiatives in the northeast.
