Coast Guard Rescues US Yacht Crew Near Nicobar Amid Rough Seas
Bay of Bengal | July 11, 2025 – The Indian Coast Guard rescued an American and a Turkish crew member aboard the US yacht Sea Angel, stranded 52 nautical miles southeast of Indira Point, Nicobar Islands. The yacht had lost propulsion due to a blown sail and entangled propeller. Despite rough seas, both mariners were found safe and escorted to Campbell Bay Harbour the next day.
