Community Policing: Police with People Program
: Tamil Nadu Police follows community policing to build public trust. Monthly ‘Makkaludan Police’ meetings happen in colonies and villages. Officers drink tea with citizens and listen to local issues. Youth play cricket with police to remove fear. Senior citizens share concerns directly with Inspector.
Problems like drugs, theft and traffic solved together. “Police are your friends, not fear” is message. Due to this, crime reporting increased and trust improved. Police also help during Pongal and emergencies. TN Police means people-first policing always.
