VB-G RAM G Act: Boost to Rural Employment Starts Today
The 'Vikshit Bharat - Guarantee for Rozgar and Aajivika Mission (Gramin)' (VB-G RAM G) Act has officially come into force as of July 1, 2026.
This landmark legislative move significantly strengthens the Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme by increasing daily wages and extending the guaranteed annual working days to 125. By enhancing income security for rural households, the government aims to drive sustainable livelihood development and economic resilience across the country's villages. This policy shift reflects a major commitment to rural empowerment, ensuring that workers have greater financial support and expanded opportunities for productive engagement in their local communities.
