Assam Advances Urban Development and Smart Cities
Assam is accelerating urban development through Smart City initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure, livability, and digital governance. Guwahati Smart City projects focus on upgraded roads, modern public transport, smart traffic management, and improved water and waste systems. Urban housing schemes and affordable infrastructure projects are also expanding across key cities.
The government is integrating technology-driven solutions for better citizen services and sustainable city planning. These efforts aim to reduce congestion, enhance urban mobility, and create cleaner, more efficient urban spaces, supporting Assam’s long-term growth and modernization.
