Haryana Cities Review Strategy for Monsoon Readiness
With the monsoon rapidly advancing across northern India, district administrations in Gurugram, Faridabad, and Rohtak have initiated high-level review meetings to tackle urban waterlogging head-on. Local authorities are inspecting crucial structural preparations, focusing heavily on the comprehensive desilting of major drainage networks and arterial channels. To prevent infrastructure failures during heavy downpours, officials are also deploying emergency power backups at key pumping stations.
These proactive measures aim to ensure smooth civic operations, minimize traffic disruptions, and safeguard low-lying residential areas from severe inundation as the state braces for heavy seasonal rainfall.
