India’s First Slender Loris Centre Boosts Conservation
Tamil Nadu has taken a significant step in wildlife conservation with the establishment of India’s first Slender Loris Conservation Centre in Kadavur. The initiative is dedicated to protecting the endangered slender loris, a nocturnal primate known for its ecological importance and unique behavior.
The centre focuses on habitat preservation, scientific research, awareness programs, and long-term conservation strategies to ensure the species' survival. By creating a specialized facility for the protection of this rare animal, Tamil Nadu is strengthening biodiversity conservation efforts and setting an example for wildlife protection initiatives across the country.
