State imposes daily 200-liter cap on diesel sales
The state government has taken a decisive step to regulate diesel fuel sales across the region. In an effort to curb hoarding and manage demand efficiently, a new directive has restricted bulk fuel purchases at all retail petrol pumps. Under these new regulations, daily diesel sales are now capped at approximately 200 liters per customer. This measure aims to ensure equitable access to fuel, but it may pose significant logistical challenges for large-scale operations in transport, agriculture, and construction that rely on large daily volumes.
