Nautapa, Storms Claim Over 15 Lives; Fresh Severe Heat Alert Issued for Purvanchal
Severe weather has devastated regions, with the intense Nautapa heatwave and subsequent strong storms claiming over 15 lives across the state. The events caused significant disruptions to daily life. However, relief is not expected. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued new alerts, warning of renewed, severe heat conditions set to hit Varanasi and the broader Purvanchal region, urging residents to take immediate precautions as temperatures are forecast to soar once more.
