A member of the Rarámuri community—whose name literally translates to "light feet"—Candelaria stunned the international running community by clinching first place in the 63km Canyon Ultra Marathon.

Without a coach, a gym, or a single sponsor, she conquered one of the world's most grueling terrains in 7 hours and 34 minutes.
