Malaria Cases Double in Pune as Maharashtra Sees Spike |
Maharashtra is witnessing a sharp rise in malaria cases this year, with Pune city alone recording 54 cases so far compared to just 23 during the same period last year.
Health officials attribute the surge to changing weather patterns, stagnant water, and inadequate mosquito control measures. Authorities are intensifying awareness campaigns, fumigation drives, and preventive steps to curb further spread.
