BJP has named former minister Surjit Kumar Jyani as in-charge of the Tarn Taran by-election campaign in Punjab.
Despite getting just 1,176 votes in 2022, BJP is hoping to make a comeback through grassroots outreach and welfare activities.
With former SAD and AAP leaders also jumping into the fray, this seat is now a high-stakes multi-party contest in the Sikh heartland.
