The government is seeking detailed clarification regarding the implementation of their "username" features. This move is driven by significant privacy and security concerns, as officials aim to ensure that new identity-masking capabilities do not compromise user safety or hinder lawful investigations. MeitY has demanded a comprehensive explanation of the technical protocols and compliance frameworks surrounding these features, signaling a stricter approach to tech regulation in the digital space.
