Ladakh Strengthens Disaster Management and Preparedness
Ladakh continues to enhance its disaster management capabilities by improving preparedness for avalanches, flash floods, landslides, earthquakes, and extreme weather events. Authorities are strengthening early warning systems, emergency response mechanisms, and disaster-resilient infrastructure to safeguard communities across the Union Territory.
Regular training programs, mock drills, and inter-agency coordination are helping improve response efficiency in remote and high-altitude regions. Alongside climate resilience initiatives and public awareness campaigns, these efforts aim to minimize disaster risks, protect lives and livelihoods, and ensure faster recovery during natural emergencies.
