J&K Seeks Relief to Ease Livestock Transport Costs
Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has urged the Punjab Government to address alleged illegal charges imposed on livestock transport. The request aims to remove financial burdens affecting the movement of animals and improve trade conditions for transporters and farmers.
The proposed intervention is expected to reduce transportation costs, support livestock traders, and strengthen the rural economy. Lower logistics expenses could improve market access for farmers, encourage smoother interstate trade, and enhance the overall agricultural supply chain in the region.
