Varanasi's Global Leap: First Major Biscuit Export to Oman
In a historic milestone for Uttar Pradesh’s food processing sector, Varanasi has successfully flagged off its first major export of biscuits to Oman. Facilitated by the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), this 40 MT consignment underscores the region's rising industrial capabilities under the India-Oman Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).
By leveraging modern logistics and favorable trade policies, Varanasi is rapidly transforming into a pivotal hub for processed food exports. This achievement not only highlights the state's economic growth but also paves the way for deeper international trade collaborations for local manufacturers.
