New Tobacco-Free Mandate in DNH & Daman
In a decisive move to prioritize public health, the District Secretariat of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu has officially enforced a strict ban on the sale of all tobacco products within a 100-meter radius of educational institutions and government hospitals.
Invoking the provisions of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, this initiative aims to shield students and patients from the hazards of tobacco exposure. Authorities have begun posting public notices, and officials are actively monitoring compliance to ensure a safer, cleaner, and healthier environment for the entire community.
