Bengal Signs PM-SHRI MoU to Revamp Schools
West Bengal has taken a decisive step toward educational reform by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Central Government to implement the PM-SHRI Schools Scheme.
Aimed at upgrading state-run schools to align with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the initiative will modernize classroom infrastructure, introduce tech-driven learning, and strengthen foundational literacy.
The partnership marks a significant shift toward collaborative federal funding to drastically upgrade primary and secondary educational institutions across both rural and urban districts of Bengal.
