Breakthrough in Manipur: 28 Hostages Released
In a significant turn of events today, May 15, 2026, Manipur police confirmed the release of 28 hostages from the Kuki and Naga communities. The captives, including two Salesian brothers of Don Bosco, were freed following intense negotiations between civil society organizations and armed groups. While this brings immense relief to families in Kangpokpi and Senapati districts, the atmosphere remains heavy after the tragic killing of three church leaders earlier this week.
