Tamil Nadu Police Green Drive Plants Thousands of Trees Every Year
Tamil Nadu Police contributes to environment through tree plantation drives. Officers and families plant saplings on Independence Day and World Environment Day. ‘Pachai Tamil Nadu’ campaign targets schools, highways and station premises. Students join police to learn about climate change. Drip irrigation ensures 80% survival rate. Last 3 years, 2.5 lakh trees planted by police teams.
