West Bengal Police Blood Donation Drives Save Many Lives Monthly
West Bengal Police organizes blood donation camps regularly across districts. Officers donate blood voluntarily for accident victims and patients. ‘Raktdaan’ program maintains donor database for emergency cases. Camps held in police stations, schools and public places with medical teams. One unit of blood can save three lives. Police motto: “Donate blood, be a hero”
. Youth volunteers also join these drives. Last year 12,000 units collected by police teams. Blood shortage reduced in government hospitals. West Bengal Police believes service to humanity is service to God.
