Uttarakhand continues to strengthen women’s empowerment and social welfare through initiatives focused on financial inclusion, self-employment, education, healthcare, and social security. Self-Help Groups (SHGs) are being supported with skill training, access to credit, and entrepreneurship opportunities to improve rural livelihoods. Government welfare programmes also aim to benefit senior citizens, persons with disabilities, widows, and economically weaker families through pensions, healthcare services, and targeted assistance.

By promoting gender equality, economic participation, and inclusive development, the state is working to enhance the quality of life and create sustainable opportunities for vulnerable communities.
