MP High Court Sets Strict Timeline for Public Event Permits
In a significant ruling concerning the Indore Muharram procession, the Madhya Pradesh High Court has issued definitive administrative guidelines to eliminate last-minute bureaucratic confusion. The court directed state authorities and organizing bodies to ensure all future applications for religious or public events are submitted at least two and a half months in advance.
Furthermore, Municipal Corporations must finalize their decisions at least 30 days prior to the event's start date. This proactive legal framework aims to establish bureaucratic accountability, protect religious sentiments, and maintain public order across the state.
