NCPI Rises as 20 Rebel TMC MPs Shift Bengal Allegiance
An unprecedented political shakeup has upended West Bengal following the aftermath of the state assembly elections. In a major blow to the Trinamool Congress (TMC), 20 of its 29 elected Lok Sabha Members of Parliament (MPs) have broken ranks to merge with the relatively obscure Nationalist Citizens Party of India (NCPI).
