Arunachal Releases Wages for 4,745 Excess Workers
The Arunachal Pradesh government has ordered the immediate release of monthly wages for 4,745 casual, contingency, and work-charged employees as an interim measure. This decision aims to provide temporary financial relief to these workers, who were previously identified as "excess" appointments. The move follows an inquiry conducted by the Public Works Department (PWD) which flagged the irregular nature of their original recruitment. The government is continuing to review the situation while ensuring these employees are supported in the interim.
