Push for Full Statehood Intensifies
Chief Minister N. Rangasamy expressed strong confidence that Puducherry will successfully transition into a full-fledged state.
Speaking after the newly elected MLAs took their oaths following the recent 2026 Legislative Assembly elections, the CM emphasized that structural administrative steps are continuously being taken to present a solid case to the Central government.
He highlighted a shared vision with the Prime Minister, asserting that statehood remains a top priority to accelerate development and welfare programs across all sectors of the Union Territory.
