EC Doubles Security Measures Ahead of Falta Repoll
The Election Commission has significantly upgraded security deployment for the upcoming May 21 repoll in the Falta Assembly constituency.
Following allegations of widespread EVM tampering that previously countermanded the voting, the poll panel is deploying eight Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) personnel per booth—exactly double the earlier deployment.
Across 285 booths, 35 companies of central forces and 30 quick response teams will keep vigil. Every single booth will feature live webcasting with two internal cameras and one external camera to ensure total transparency.
