CM Vows Strict Action After Park Circus Violence
Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari issued a stern warning today, stating that attacks on security forces will not be tolerated.
This follows a violent unauthorized protest at Kolkata’s Park Circus Seven-Point Crossing against illegal building demolitions in Tiljala. Demonstrators clashed with security forces, injuring 10 police personnel and 3 CAPF men.
Over 40 people have been arrested so far. Comparing the situation to past unrest in Srinagar, the CM emphasized that while peaceful democratic agitation is allowed, lawless stone-pelting will face heavy police action.
