Tata Power Powers Ladakh’s First Commercial Rooftop Solar Project
Marking a monumental shift toward clean energy, Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited successfully commissioned the first commercial rooftop solar project in the Union Territory of Ladakh.
The 50 kWp solar installation was unveiled at Hotel Barath in Leh by Administrative Secretary Rudra Goud P.T. Aimed at fostering sustainable tourism, the initiative provides local businesses with practical, scalable, and climate-friendly energy solutions.
It sets a robust benchmark for Ladakh’s hospitality sector to optimize energy consumption, cut down high operational costs, and aggressively reduce its overall carbon footprint.
