AI-Driven Traffic Management Goes Live
Commuters in Puducherry will notice a smoother ride starting today as the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) launches its AI-driven traffic management system. Using real-time data from sensors across 40 major intersections, the system dynamically adjusts signal timings to reduce congestion during peak hours. This rollout is part of the Smart City Mission and includes an automated "Green Corridor" feature for ambulances. Initial tests showed a 20% reduction in travel time across the boulevard area, marking a significant win for urban mobility.
