Prehistoric geoglyphs discovered along the Konkan coast may be as old as 24,000 years, according to the state Directorate of Archaeology.
These ancient markings provide valuable insights into early human activity, culture, and artistic expression in the region. Experts are considering nominating the site for UNESCO World Heritage status, which would help preserve and promote this remarkable archaeological heritage.
The findings highlight India’s rich prehistoric history and potential for global recognition.
