Arunachal Pradesh has witnessed a remarkable rise in GST collections, increasing over 700% from ₹227 crore in 2017-18 to nearly ₹1,900 crore in 2023-24, announced Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein.
The number of registered taxpayers has also grown from 7,365 to 18,477. This impressive growth is attributed to digital expansion, simplified registration, and bringing small businesses into the formal economy, reflecting the state’s push for economic formalization and stronger revenue mobilization.
