The Supreme Court has refused to interfere with a Kerala High Court order permitting the Global Ayyappa Sangamam on the banks of the Pampa river near Sabarimala.

The apex court stressed that the event can proceed only under the strict conditions laid down by the High Court. Organizers must ensure compliance with environmental safeguards, crowd management, and safety measures.

The decision brings relief to devotees while reinforcing the importance of balancing faith, law, and ecological protection in Kerala’s sacred region.
