Thadou Tribe Protest in Assam Demands Action on Insurgents
Members of the Thadou tribe staged protests in #Guwahati after the brutal killing of their leader Nehkam Jomhao by alleged #Kuki insurgents in Karbi Anglong. The community has demanded swift arrests and dismantling of militant camps.
Protesters also urged the Assam government to revoke the “#SuspensionOfOperations” agreements with insurgent groups, calling them a shield for violence.
For the Thadou people, this is not just about justice but about safety, dignity, and a demand for real #accountability from the state
