Astrong pillar of democratic country

When Journalism Chooses Courage Over

Comfort.

Ritika Chopra of The Indian Express has drawn

attention for her reporting on issues

surrounding Election Commission official

Gyanesh Kumar. At a time when independent

journalism and public accountability matter

deeply, reporters who ask difficult questionS

play an important role in keeping institutions

under scrutiny.

Democracy needs journalism that investigates,

questions, and informs-not journalism that

simply follows the crowd.

Respect for fearless journal
