The bench rightly condemned the administration's retaliatory move as an attempt to "kill the messenger," reiterating that journalists must remain free to speak truth to power.
The Bharat Media Association strongly applauds this judicial shield. State agencies cannot weaponize criminal laws to cover up local administrative failures. Ensuring grassroots reporters can safely expose public negligence is vital for maintaining accountable democratic governance.
