Medical Scams: Citizens Verifying Hospital Invoices

Suspecting massive price-gouging, health journalists are uploading unredacted government purchase orders and crowdsourcing the verification process. Medical students and local pharmacists volunteer to cross-reference the invoiced prices against actual market rates, exposing massive over-billing by state suppliers.
The Bharat Media Association notes that participatory auditing saves lives. By allowing citizens to actively investigate healthcare expenditures, the press ensures that critical medical budgets are not siphoned off by corrupt corporate suppliers during public emergencies.
