Community Policing Builds Trust Between Karnataka Police and Public
Karnataka Police follows community policing to build public trust. Monthly ‘Police Meet Public’ meetings happen in colonies and villages. Officers drink tea with citizens and listen to local issues. Youth play cricket with police to remove fear. Senior citizens share concerns directly with SI. Problems like drug use, theft and traffic are solved together
. “Police are your friends, not fear” is the message. Due to this, crime reporting increased and trust improved. Police also help during festivals and emergencies. Karnataka Police means people-first policing.
