Bihar Teacher Transfer Rules 2026: A Reformist Approach
The Bihar government has approved the landmark Bihar State Teacher Transfer Rules 2026, marking a monumental shift in administrative policy for over 5.5 lakh government school teachers. Moving away from manual processes, the state is launching a dedicated portal for all transfer applications across primary, secondary, and higher secondary levels.
This portal-based system promises a new era of transparency and fairness. Crucially, the rules introduce significant relaxations and preferential priorities for female teachers, as well as educators facing serious health conditions or family difficulties, ensuring a more compassionate and localized workforce.
