Fatal Negligence at AIIMS Bhopal: 3-Year-Old Killed
A three-year-old boy undergoing leukemia treatment at AIIMS Bhopal died after nursing staff allegedly injected formalin, a chemical preservative, into his vein instead of routine medication. An internal inquiry confirmed gross negligence and a fundamental failure in safety protocols.
Consequently, the involved staff members were immediately suspended, and police have booked two senior hospital officials. This fatal error has triggered intense scrutiny and raised severe concerns regarding patient safety and administrative oversight at the prestigious medical institution.
