Digital Census Phase Underway
The Union Home Ministry confirmed that house-to-house operations for Phase 1 of Census 2027 are fully active across Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu.
For the first time, enumerators are deploying advanced mobile apps to map local assets and living conditions. This digital push drastically speeds up data collection while maintaining the traditional face-to-face reach.
Local administrators urge residents to cooperate with visiting officials, as this structured data will directly define the union territory’s future welfare allocations, infrastructure planning, and public amenity development over the next decade.
