A new Counterpoint Research report reveals a massive shift toward on-device processing in the consumer electronics sector.
By 2032, nearly eight out of ten wearables shipped globally are expected to feature built-in Edge AI capabilities instead of relying on cloud servers. This transition represents a cumulative trillion-dollar revenue opportunity over the next several years.
While smartwatches and wireless earbuds will maintain the highest overall shipment volumes, the smart ring category is projected to experience the fastest growth in the market.
