PM Modi Announces Ex-Gratia Relief for Lakhimpur Kheri Victims
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed profound grief over the tragic highway collision in Lakhimpur Kheri, Uttar Pradesh, offering his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families.
Taking to social media platform X, the Prime Minister prayed for the speedy recovery of those critically injured.
To mitigate the immediate financial distress of the affected families, PM Modi announced an ex-gratia relief package of ₹2 lakh each from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) for the next of kin of the deceased, and ₹50,000 for the injured.
