As a blistering heatwave grips northern India, the Haryana government has announced a state-wide summer vacation for all schools.
Effective from June 1 to July 1, 2026, the mandate applies uniformly to all government, private, CBSE, and ICSE schools. With daytime temperatures soaring significantly across districts like Gurugram and Faridabad, authorities prioritized student safety to prevent heat exhaustion.
The education department has also issued strict advisories to schools regarding mandatory hydration breaks and adjusted timings during the remaining days of May to shield children from extreme weather.
