CM Tamang Launches Major Government Austerity Drive
In a significant administrative move, Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang has announced a sweeping austerity drive across Sikkim to optimize public spending and promote fuel conservation.
Aligning with central sustainability goals, the state government has officially banned the purchase of new official vehicles for one entire year.
Additionally, the Chief Minister has leading-by-example cut his own official security carcade by 50 percent. Government departments have been strictly ordered to optimize existing resources and implement efficient financial management strategies moving forward.
