Patna | In a significant push for environmental sustainability, Bihar’s Environment and Forest Minister, Ramchandra Prasad, announced today that the state aims to increase its green cover to 17%. Since the state’s bifurcation, Bihar has doubled its greenery from 7% to 15%.
To bridge the final gap, the government will launch a massive monsoon drive this July to plant 50 million saplings.
This "Green Mission" will involve Jeevika Didis and local students, blending ecological restoration with community-led eco-tourism initiatives across 38 districts.
