Pride of the Hills: Centre Infuses ₹4,900 Crore Boost
The frontier state received a massive economic catalyst today as the Central Government allocated ₹4,900 crore under the "Pride of Hills" initiative. This strategic funding is earmarked for rapid infrastructure development, focusing on enhancing connectivity in remote border areas and supporting sustainable growth.
Chief Minister Khandu expressed deep gratitude to the Prime Minister, noting that this investment will transform the socio-economic landscape of the Himalayan state.
The funds are expected to expedite ongoing highway projects and improve essential services for citizens residing in the "vibrant villages."
