As of May 15, the Department of Agriculture is actively rolling out the 2026-27 Annual Action Plan, worth over ₹1,100 crore. Farmers across the state are being encouraged to shift toward sustainable practices with enhanced incentives: ₹8,000 per acre for opting out of paddy and ₹10,000 per acre for certified organic farming. The focus today remains on promoting Direct Seeded Rice (DSR) to conserve Haryana’s dwindling groundwater, ensuring the "Breadbasket of India" remains fertile for future generations.
